What we're reading

Social Prescribing Framework consultation
Social prescribing recognises that health and wellbeing are influenced by more than medical care. The Scottish Government wants to hear your views of getting help with issues such as loneliness or money worries to help shape a Social Prescribing Framework that meets the different needs of people across Scotland.

A Six-Step Model for Disability-Inclusive Emergency Planning
Disabled people are excessively exposed and impacted by climate change, yet we are systematically excluded from the decisions that shape emergency preparedness. The Environmental Rights Centre for Scotland, Sensing Climate from the University of Exeter, and Inclusion Scotland have developed a six-step model to offer a practical, actionable path toward equity, inclusion and justice.

Legal aid reform consultation
The Scottish Government is consulting on a new Legal Aid (Scotland) Bill to modernise the legal aid system. While Scotland's legal aid system remains broad in scope and demand-led, concerns have been raised about accessibility, complexity, sustainability and the system's ability to respond to changing need.
