SURF Awards winners announced
The outcome of the prestigious 2025 SURF Awards for Best Practice in Community Regeneration was announced on the earlier this month at a celebratory presentation event in Glasgow. The award categories include activity across all aspects of regeneration, with Scottish Men’s Sheds winning the community-led regeneration category. The full list of winners can be found here.
UWS Community Education degree course
UWS are currently recruiting for their BA (Hons) Community Education degree course, with places available at the Lanarkshire and Paisley campuses with an option to join in 1st, 2nd, or 3rd year depending on qualifications and experience. They are also looking for placement opportunities for our students and Mentors who are CLD qualified to support placement supervisors who are not CLD qualified. Rural AI Roadshow
The Rural AI Roadshow is a collaboration between Scotland’s enterprise agencies, The Scottish AI Alliance and The Data Lab, supported by The Scottish Government, designed to help rural businesses and community organisations understand, experiment with, and adopt AI in ways that deliver real value. There are events in Dundee, Gretna and Inverness in January.
