/This article was featured in the SCDC Weekly - 2nd September 2026
These webinars will be a chance to learn more about the co-creation of the new Open Government National Action Plan and look ahead to the next stage of this process.
Open government is a global movement centred around people coming together to explore how the relationship between communities and government can be more open, participatory, inclusive, and accountable.
Supported by SCDC, people from across communities, the third sector organisation, and all levels of government came together over the last year to explore what trust, accountability and participation meant to them.
A final report, bringing together ideas and insights from online and in-person events, highlights the key actions, themes, and learning from this extensive process.
This report is currently being used to develop a draft Open Government National Action Plan, due to be published later this year.
These webinars will be a chance to learn more about the co-creation process and hear more about the findings published the final report.
