New research shows fuel poverty in the Highlands is “unacceptably high”
New research from Changeworks warns that not enough progress has been made to tackle fuel poverty in the Highlands and across rural Scotland. In the Highlands, fuel costs are compounded by older, more exposed homes and limited access to cheaper heating options. 57% of rural households are off the gas grid, leaving them more vulnerable to volatile fuel prices and higher running costs.

Last week was Refugee Festival Scotland, a nation-wide arts and cultural festival that provides people from refugee backgrounds with a dedicated platform to showcase their creativity, heritage and contributions to life in Scotland.
