How can community organisations apply for and attract funding? That’s the question Building Stronger Community Organisations (BSCO) seeks to help answer.
Developed by SCDC and the Scottish Refugee Council, BSCO is free online toolkit takes community organisations through 10 modules designed to explore the key things to consider and important actions to take for their work.
Building on previous modules, the funding section of the resource helps groups think about their funding needs and how to secure funding to support their aims.
The module features a practical funding plan template, exploring the key questions around what groups are looking to achieve, how long funding should be for, and what the money will be used for as part of the project.
It also includes funding tips and videos which set out what to consider when applying for funding, as well as how to write strong funding applications.
Although this module is focused on funding, all of the BSCO modules support groups to secure funding by helping to make organisations stronger and more effective.
