What we're reading

Scotland's Youth Work Sector Manifesto 2026
Scotland’s Youth Work Sector Manifesto 2026 was developed collaboratively with youth work organisations across Scotland. It sets out three national commitments Scotland must make to ensure every young person can thrive through access to high-quality youth work.

Webinar: Young adult men and the drivers of health inequalities, 19 March
In this webinar, SHERU will present their findings from two recent strands of work focusing on young men. They will compare poverty rates in Scotland and the rest of the UK, and the work of a series of Action Learning Sets held in Edinburgh and North Lanarkshire, exploring how current systems engage with this population group and where responsibility sits for prevention.

Building Stronger Community Organisations
This online learning resource is designed to build the skills, confidence and knowledge of refugee-led organisations and refugee-supporting organisations, although most of the materials will be useful to any community group. It includes information on how groups should form, operate, engage with their communities, and deliver on their aims.
