Inequality, disadvantage and shaping public services - Highland workshop

Would you like to find out about a way for groups to start a discussion with decision makers about improving public services? Participation requests are part of the The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act. Over the last two years, community groups across Scotland have been making them to public bodies such as local authorities and health boards.

SCDC is delivering a workshop on Thu 6th February 2020 in Inverness which will help you to:

  • understand what participation requests are

  • think about whether they are a good approach for you to take

  • learn how to make one

  • know more about working with others to improve public services

The workshop will be particularly relevant to community groups with protected characteristics or who are experiencing poverty, as well as anyone who supports or works with these groups. It is being hosted by Highland Third Sector Interface.
