New wealth inequality statistics published
New statistics show the difference in average wealth in Scotland. A typical household in the wealthiest 10% of households had £1.3 million in total wealth, whereas a typical household in the least wealthy 10% of households had £7,600. Wealth inequality is more severe than income inequality: the 2% of households with the highest incomes had 10% of all income, while the wealthiest 2% of households had 15% of all wealth.
 
SCDC vacancy: Temporary Development Manager 
SCDC is seeking a new Temporary Development Manager (fixed term contract for one year) to join the team and help us deliver our programme work across Scotland. Digital landline switchover
By January 2027, the old analogue telephone network will be completely switched off and replaced by new digital landlines. A new campaign is focused on providing help and support to members of our communities, especially the more vulnerable, to ensure that they are not adversely impacted by the switch off deadline.
