More than Words: Communication for All
Communication connects us, but we all communicate differently. Good, inclusive communication matters to everyone. It helps us live well and take part in our communities. The 'More than Words' campaign calls for public recognition of the importance of communication for all.
Community Development Alliance Scotland Conference, 24th Sept
This conference from CDAS will bring together highly skilled practitioners, activists and policy makers with a wealth of knowledge, to highlight and showcase work from around Scotland and beyond. Inputs will include Ivan McKee, MSP, Minister for Public Finance, Scottish Government; Professor Oliver Escobar, University of Edinburgh and Clare MacGillivray, Making Rights Real.
Disability Equality Plan Launched
The Scottish Government have launched the Disability Equality Plan which is focused on access to welfare rights, digital inclusion, valuing lived experience and increased accountability. This is a major milestone shaped by the voices of disabled people, and comes after tireless campaigning from disabled people's organisations.
