Dunfermline workshop on participation requests

Are there things about public services you would like done better?

Do you think you and others in your community could help to improve public services if your ideas were listened to?

  • Wednesday 30th May 2018
  • 1pm-4pm
  • Carnegie UK Trust, Andrew Carnegie House, Pittencrieff St, Dunfermline KY12 8AW. (Map)

Participation requests are a new way for people to have their say about improvements they would like to see made to the public services they use. They are part of a piece of Scottish Government legislation called the The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act. By making a participation request, a community or voluntary group can start a discussion with organisations in charge of public services, such as hospitals, schools and transport, about how to improve these services.

This free workshop for community groups and organisations is a chance to find out more about participation requests, how to make one and what to think about before you do. The workshop is being delivered by Scottish Community Development Centre
