Kate McHendry (continued) 

Kate has over 20 years of experience of working from a community development perspective in a variety of settings - research, voluntary sector/ social economy, economic development, youth work, adult and further education.

Since joining SCDC, Kate has managed the Scottish Community Action Research Fund, supporting community groups to carry out their own research, develop knowledge of their communities and improve skills and community capacity.  

She also worked on writing and managing the Doing It Better training and consultancy programme; as well as carried out a number of consultancies.
