Sign up for the CPAR shared learning session, January 2022
This online shared learning session will be another chance to share what you have been doing in your Community Participatory Action Research (CPAR), and hear what others have been doing.
Hopefully you will have some findings from your research to share, as well as any experiences and learning from carrying out research in your community. The event will also be an opportunity to talk about what you plan to do next with your research findings.
Choosing a session
For this session, we’re doing things slightly differently than last time, and asking you to choose a workshop based on the presentations you’d most like to hear. The workshop choices are
Session A
Tuesday 25th January, 10am-12pm
Presentation 1: Fresh Youth Perspectives who are researching the impact of Covid-19 on young people (particularly their mental health).
Presentation 2: Tariq Gomma, who is researching the impact of Covid-19 on ethnic minority men in Reading.
Session B
Thursday 27th January 1:30pm-3:30pm
Presentation 1: Mothers 4 Justice who are researching the impact of Covid-19 on people in the criminal justice system (and their families).
Presentation 2: Zareena Linney-Waine from Surrey Minority Ethic Forum who is exploring barriers for people from ethnic minoritised backgrounds using care and public services in Surrey.
Both sessions will be held on zoom and links will be sent out with a confirmation email in early January.
If you are working with anyone else on your research project it would be good to co-ordinate with them about which date to attend.
