David loves working with communities as a development manager. He has particular expertise in participatory budgeting, community led health, community engagement and co-productive approaches to the relationship between citizens and government.
With many years’ experience of working directly with communities experiencing inequality, particularly refugees and asylum seekers, David volunteers on Thornliebank Together’, a local participatory budgeting steering group and coaches a school football team. He has previously Chaired Govan Community Project alongside New Scots.
Prior to working at SCDC David worked in the legal team of the Equality and Human Rights Commission and in a homelessness charity. He has an MSc in Public Policy and Research methods.
