The active participation of communities and service-users in decision making processes and the design and delivery of public services is now a central theme of public policy and service delivery. This introductory training explores the principles, standards, processes and methods that underpin good practice in community engagement.
In this training you will:
- Learn about the key values and principles which underpin a good community engagement process using the National Standards for Community engagement
- Explore a range of methods for community engagement - from social media through to story dialogue.
- Be introduced to VOiCE (Visioning Outcomes in Community Engagement) online software. A free-to-access online package that will allow you to analyse, plan, implement and evaluate community engagement practice from small scale projects to strategic development.
