Community-led action research

Supporting communities to develop their skills and abilities to undertake research and evidence issues of concern to them is a positive way of building the capacity of communities to achieve change.

Based on our experience of successfully supporting community groups to plan, undertake research, analyse it and present their evidence (through the Scottish Community Action Research Fund and Demonstrating the Links) we can provide training for staff to support communities to effectively carry out their own research.

Training for those with research experience

1 day course: covering practical tools and methods for supporting effective community research.

Supporting community-led action research

2 day course: an in-depth course for those with little experience of this type of research which provides more time to come to terms with the issues involved and the chance to work through practical examples.
