Green events at the Gathering
Register now for two green events being held on 19 February 2010 as part of the wide-ranging programme at the Gathering at the EICC.
Sell the Sizzle: the new climate message is the latest guide by Futerra, the sustainability communications consultancy. Sizzle focuses on the need to develop tangible visions of a positive low carbon future.
Futerra will be ‘selling the sizzle’ at SCVO’s half-day conference ‘Positive spin: making sense of climate change’ (click hyperlink to view full programme). This event (9.00am to 12.30pm) aims to explore how the work of the voluntary sector in Scotland can support efforts to catalyse engagement in climate change: the diversity of the sector presents opportunities to reach across society. Other presentations include the Green Alliance on Third Sector leadership in climate change and Global Action Plan on the practical benefits of collaborative engagement.
For those looking for practical tips on how to save energy and save money, go along to the afternoon workshop Getting Green: Supporting practical action (click hyperlink to view programme) which runs from 2.00pm to 3.30pm. At this worjshop, experts will highlight the advice and support available to voluntary organisations for improving their resource efficiency.
