SCDC

We are currently working with stakeholders across Scotland to support a shared understanding of, and strategic commitment to, a community-led approach to health improvement and addressing health inequalities.

The support programme has two distinct phases:

  • Programme development phase - December 2007 to April 2008.  During this time we will be working with key stakeholders in health board areas to design a programme of support for each area
  • Programme delivery phase - April/May 2008 to March 2009.  During this time we will be working in each area to deliver the support programme developed with local stakeholders

Getting Involved

The main pupose of the programme is to support a "systems wide" approach to community-led health.  The Scottish Government have contacted all Community Health Partnership and Community Planning Partnership leads to request their involvement and the Community Health Exchange (CHEX) is supporting the involvement of community and voluntary sector organisations.

Further information on what is happening in your area can be found in the Programme Areas section to the left.
