Community-led research
Training and consultancy support in this area is based on our experience of developing and delivering the SCARF (Scottish Community Action Research Fund) programme, which supported over 130 groups and organisations across Scotland to carry out research that helped them to achieve positive change in their communities. The SCARF programme ended in 2009 but you can read about the kind of research that was carried out on our website. (For more information, please click here)
We offer training and support to community groups and practitioners who want to support community groups and organisations to carry out research in relation to community needs or issues. Training and support will be tailored to the needs of each group but will cover:
- the principles and values of community-led research;
- the key stages of a research process and appropriate methods
