'The Spirit Level' documentary seeking funding

A documentary examining the effects of inequality across the world is seeking funding to release the film. 'The Spirit Level' features interviews with leading experts and personal stories from people across the globe to see how income disparity impacts the world and the people, rich and poor, who live in it.

The film is based on the best selling book 'The Spirit Level: Why More Equal Societies Almost Always Do Better' by Richard G Wilkinson and Kate Pickett, who argue that inequality is the root cause to many of the social concequnces, from physical and mental health to social mobility and community life, that we experience.

Currently, the film has raised £24,737 of its £60,000 goal - which will be enough to finish the final editing and distribution of the film. They aim to release the film in early 2015.

They have produced a trailer which gives a taste of the documentary and you can find out more about funding the film here.
