Mapping and evaluating literacy provision in Argyll and Bute

In 2005 the Scottish Community Development Centre was commissioned by the Argyll and Bute Literacy Partnership to map and evaluate literacy provision within the four partnership areas of Argyll and Bute. The review involved a detailed assessment of current practice and provision and the collection of feedback on how provision might be improved, from the perspective of key stakeholders. As with all of our work our approach was participatory and concerned with building the capacity of participants as well as gathering high quality information.  The completed review was used by the partnership to inform the development of the new regional Literacy Action Plan.
