Paul Nelis
Paul has extensive experience of project management (as a Prince2 Practitioner) and developing community based initiatives. Prior to the Development Managers post within SCDC, Paul worked for CHEX in the HLC Support Programme supporting initiatives throughout Scotland in terms of networking and supporting their continued development. He previously worked for Scottish Enterprise in the Digital Inclusion Team - working on local and national projects, in this challenging role he successfully developed a number of sustainable community-led projects including the Gorbals Library/Cyber Cafe and further developed Girvan On-Line, a community run website for which he is currently the Chair. He has also worked for Pathfinder Greater Easterhouse which attracted the Scottish Urban Regeneration Forum (SURF) Award for Innovation. Paul's specialist area is in developing national networks and supporting best practice. He is particularly interested in developing ICT to support networking, community engagement, project planning and monitoring/evaluation at national and community level. He is also interested in social enterprise development.
