Fiona Garven

Fiona is the Director of SCDC and was previously the Development Manager for Training & Consultancy.

Fiona has a background in community learning and development and has worked at senior level within local authority community learning and development services and social work services.  Fiona's work with social work services involved working with young people on group and individual behaviour intervention programmes.  Her work within community learning and development focused on staff and volunteer training and development, youth work and community capacity building.

Latterly, Fiona worked with Scottish Enterprise as part of the national Digital Inclusion Team working with a range of stakeholders across three Community Planning Partnership areas on inclusion related activity within community planning.

Fiona maintains a personal and professional interest in a community development approach to youth work and sits on the Board of Trustees of Youth Scotland.  Fiona is currently on the management group of the Community Development Alliance Scotland (CDAS).
